LEAD DESIGNER

Putrajaya Precinct 7

7,000,000 SF of mixed use program – and parking for over 4,000 cars – The main concept of this scheme is to create an elevated central plaza above the existing road, with all parking below grade. The central plaza will link current and future developments. Social activity is created and concentrated with the retail in the center of project. Varying levels and functions engage the retail pedestrian in the center. Putrajaya is a planned city, 25 km south of Kuala Lumpur, built from the late 1990s to create a new federal administrative center of Malaysia to alleviate Kuala Lumpur’s overcrowding. The city is located between Kuala Lumpur and the new KL International Airport (KLIA).

Ratio Design:

Putrajaya Precinct 7 is an innovative, globally oriented mixed-use development that represents a gateway to a future Malaysia. With the country’s emerging and dynamic diversity, there will be seven distinct areas of commerce, civic, and cultural activities, including a cinema, a large pavilion event space, an open-air food street, and a grand elevated plaza that connects to the nearby train station. The project represents an opportunity to develop a destination district that will strengthen the link between all Malaysians to the rest of the world.
